Sacred cow-replacement... that is a good way to put it. Sometimes people publish books because people want to hear what they have to say, but it appears this book was published to create a stir. I'm fine with stirring, but I'm not OK with dumping 2000 years of church history and its culturally-adaptive traditions into the toilet just because what is coming out of someone else's toilet smells more fresh.
